Turfan and Tun-huang: the Texts
The
international congress on Turfan and Tun-huang: the Texts. Encounter of
Civilizations on the Silk Route, organized in 1990 by the Fondazione
Giorgio Cini (Istituto «Venezia e l’Oriente») in collaboration with the
Istituto Italiano per il Medio ed Estremo Oriente and the Istituto
Universitario Orientale of Naples, represents the first of a series of
international conferences devoted to different aspects of the various
civilizations whose meeting places were the two caravan cities of
Turfan and Tun-huang.
