Fondazione Giorgio Cini renews its appointment with Free Books Day, an event celebrating the sustainable reuse of culture ‘on paper’, designed for students, enthusiasts, collectors and scholars in search of new titles to add to their library or to give as gifts.

The event offers the public a wide selection of books, monographs, journals, catalogues and essays, the result of an accurate inventory of the Foundation’s book heritage. During the day, anyone wishing to participate will be able to purchase a tote bag for a symbolic donation of €10, which will allow it to be filled free of charge with the books chosen from those made available.

 

The initiative was created with the intention of giving books a second life, encouraging cultural reuse and offering new visibility to the authors who have contributed to the activities of Fondazione Giorgio Cini and its Institutes. An important aspect of this event is its commitment to sustainability. Every book picked up during Free Books Day not only allows you to expand your library, but also contributes to the conscious reuse of cultural resources, reducing waste and promoting ecological practices.

By becoming a Cini Ambassador and signing up on the day itself, you can gain exclusive access one hour earlier, at 12:00 noon, and the tote bag will be free.
