Award Ceremony for the XI ‘Benno Geiger’ Poetry Translation Prize The annual prize is named after Benno Geiger (1882-1965), a writer, poet, translator and art critic whose rich literary and artistic correspondence with Italian and European figures of the early twentieth century makes up part of the literary collections preserved on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. The jury for the prize is made up of writers, critics, university Professors and translation experts.

At the opening of the ceremony, which will also be open to the public, there will be a prologue by Professor Taravacci of the University of Trento on a theme concerning poetic translation.
