Presentation of the initiatives for the centennial from the death of Pietro Bertoja

Among the initiatives organized by the Veneto Region in order to celebrate the centennial from the death of Pietro Bertoja, (1828-1911) the Giorgio Cini Foundation will organize a series of events. Pietro Bertoja, a stage designer and photographer active in Veneto from 1970 util the beginning of the 20th Century, was an artist with a big pictorial sensibility, and an innovator in creating illumination systems and scenographies. Professor Maria Ida Biggi, President of the Committee for the celebration of the centennial from the death of Pietro Bertoja, will present the initiatives with a projection of a rich iconographic apparatus. At the same time a competition addressed to students will be presented.
