The texts published in the volume also investigate Barbantini’s multifaceted personality by reconstructing the intertwining of museography, exhibitions and art criticism, presenting the displays he promoted in the light of contemporary museography, and finally delving into his relationships with scholars, colleagues and artists in the varied and fertile cultural and intellectual climate of Venice in the first half of the twentieth century.
