The Ludwig Van PIcture Show//Copying Beethoven

The series of musical videos at Palazzo Cini continues in the month of August with Copying Beethoven, a movie by Agnieszka Holland.
The story is based on a beguiling and forced synopsis by Stephen J. Rivele and Christopher Wilkinson, and it is focused on an invented character: Anna Holtz, a charming and skillful student of an imaginary Academy of Music in Wien who obtains, in spite of gender-based prejudices, to become the official copyist of Beethoven, busy with the draft of the legendary Ninth Symphony.
Accidentally, Anna begins to work as a baby sitter, companion, advisor and muse for an ancient, suffering, rough and intractable, fierce and vulgar Beethoven.
