Yesterday, 22 July 2024, the Fondazione Giorgio Cini’s Consiglio Generale renewed the institutional decisions taken in April 2023 and elected Gianfelice Rocca as the President of Fondazione Giorgio Cini.
The Consiglio Generale also proceeded to designate Roberto Senigaglia and Gabriele Galateri di Genola as Vice-Presidents. Together with the President and Alberto Peratoner, Stefano Lucchini, Paolo Scaroni and Giorgio Alliata di Montereale form the new Board of Directors.
The new President succeeds Giovanni Bazoli, in office since 1999, who led a long and extraordinary season of transformation of the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
On the same day, the Consiglio di Amministrazione also appointed the Foundation’s Scientific Director: the role was assigned to Daniele Franco, former Minister of the Economy and Director General of the Bank of Italy.
