Giovanni Bazoli

President of the Foundation since November 1999.
Advisor to the Foundation since 1987.

Giovanni Bazoli was born in Brescia in 1932. He is a professor of administrative law at the Faculty of Economics at Catholic University in Milan. . He retired from teaching in 2001.
He was knighted for Services to Industry (Cavaliere del Lavoro) in Italy and Officier de la Légion d’Honneur in France.

He is Chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. Supervisory Board and he is responsible for managing various financial institutions.

He is Chairman of Mittel S.p.A.; Director and member of ABI (Associazione Bancaria Italiana) Board; Director of Alleanza Assicurazioni S.p.A. and Deputy Chairman of Casa Editrice La Scuola S.p.A.

Bazoli is active in various cultural institutions. He is member of the conservation council of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana; National Director of FAI, Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano; Manager of Ente Bresciano per l’Istruzione Superiore and member of the Executive Board of the Istituto Paolo VI.

It has received “Honoris causa” degrees in “Bank administration” from Università degli Studi di Macerata and in “Cultural heritage management” from Università degli Studi di Udine.
