From 29 June, after booking online, users will be able to access the library on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore
A gradual return to services, initially with reduced hours.
The Fondazione Giorgio Cini Libraries will reopen to the public on Monday 29 June 2020 with new use procedures to ensure compliance with the coronavirus prevention measures.
In this first phase, efforts will be mainly aimed at ensuring the safe use of the rooms and services. Access will only be allowed, therefore, after obligatory booking through the OPAC (On-line Public Access Catalogue) of the Venice branch of the SBN (National Library Service). Bookings can be made from one week ahead of your chosen day onwards.
The library services on the Island of San Giorgio will operate from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday (for further information see www.cini.en/biblioteche or write to [email protected]).
In this initial phase, users will be able to book up to a maximum of 10 books for consultation. They must, however, wear masks (the Fondazione Cini will not provide personal protective equipment), undergo a thermal-scanner body temperature check and disinfect their hands.
Reference and document delivery services will also resume.
