The Eleonora Duse Room, open and open to the public since 2011, is a permanent space dedicated to the memory of the great Italian actress; a place that was created with the aim of making the precious heritage preserved in the Duse Archive accessible to the public through temporary thematic exhibitions.
The collection of materials conserved at the Institute for Theatre and Melodrama is extraordinarily rich: original photographs, correspondence, annotated scripts, accounting documents and company records, clothes and memorabilia go to make up, from time to time, thematic itineraries capable of revealing aspects of the life and art of this fascinating actress.
