The Study Centre for Documentary Research on European Theatre and Opera is organising an event to celebrate Mercedes Viale Ferrero. Having started out as an art historian, Viale Ferrero devoted her career to studying the relations between opera and stage-set images, especially as regards productions from the Baroque to the 20th century.
