Some twenty new works by artist Marcela Cernadas have been created for the exhibition Manifesto di Sabbia, conceived by the Fondazione Giorgio Cini’s Glass Study Centre in conjunction with the Venice Glass Week 2023 Festival. For Cernadas, winner of the tenth edition of the Glass in Venice Prize in 2022, glass has become a customary means of expression, and as an  expression of this interest, the Centre is exhibiting an unprecedented Murano glass plate made of opaline-white canes.
Other items include numerous works on cotton paper – part of the ‘white drawings’ series – a mock-up, a video and a site-specific installation.
